Squid is one of our 2022 Sea Monsters living in South-Central Wisconsin. His family owns a dog training facility and Squid is their very first purpose-bred dog. At first, Squid's Mom just wanted a dog for demo classes and she said she "wasn't interested in ribbons"... but when I asked if she would be okay with me showing him, she jumped head-first into the opportunity to owner-handle Squid herself.
On his first weekend out, Squid won Best of Breed for 3 shows. His second weekend out he took Reserve Winner's Dog during the Northstar Weimaraner Club's Specialty and Land o Lakes Kennel Club All Breed Show.
Squid is excelling in the field and finished his JH title going 4/4 with an average score of 9! We're going to keep working on our dog shows and being a great bird dog, plus keeping up with the FastCAT where Squid ranked in the top 3 Weimaraners nationally.
